Between 2017 and 2023, there has been a 48% increase in students registered with AAS. The largest category of primary diagnosis is mental health. In this workshop-style session we contextualize this trend, help participants understand some barriers that students with a primary mental health diagnosis currently face in education, and discuss inclusive course design practices that can reduce the need for accommodations.
