This project explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from a broad perspective, everything from the use of analytics for story development or placement on the homepage or social media to using AI for data journalism or to independently write stories. We are particularly interested in considerations of the ethics surrounding their use in the gathering, creating, and disseminating of content. We’re not seeking to “measure” the ethics of AI, but to explore the extent to which standard ethical principles are/can be considered when AI is implemented for journalistic purposes.
