This woman is afraid that things with her abusive husband are getting worse, but she blames herself for it. She needs someone to help her see the situation for what it is.
Options 1
Margaret Simeon attends the counselling session alone. Learners work to uncover and pick up on clues that may lead Margaret to share her real intention for being there.
Option 2
In addition to Margaret’s disclosure this scenario can include a Critical Incident involving her husband Joe Simeon. For the critical incident Joe Simeon interrupts the meeting demanding that Margaret return home immediately. This critical incident happens about forty-five minutes into the meeting and lasts about ten minutes. The actor playing Joe does not offer feedback.
