Information for Learners

It is late November and the fall semester is beginning to wind down with final papers due and exams looming. Marco, a student on your floor, approaches you, the Residence Advisor, and reports that he saw Lisa sitting in the hallway, back against the wall and crying. Marco felt he did not know Lisa well enough to ask what was wrong or if she needed something or anyone so he sought your help. You know Lisa - she is a quiet, very responsible resident and student. She struck everyone as being very diligent and serious. It is so out of character for her to be seen in such an emotional state, crying in public. Lisa is in first year Biomedical Science and has group projects and lab reports to complete along with studying for exams. You decide to approach Lisa and so knock on her room door.
