We invite all TMU staff to participate in a town hall meeting dedicated to the review of our Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy. Participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback, ask questions, and contribute ideas to help strengthen our policies and procedures. Your insights and experiences are essential to fostering a supportive and inclusive TMU community.

What to expect

In this virtual session, facilitators of the policy review will gather feedback from TMU staff to ensure TMU’s Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy effectively addresses and prevents discrimination and harassment on campus.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the policy, voice their concerns, share experiences and suggest improvements. Your participation is crucial in shaping a more inclusive TMU.

What is a policy review?

A policy review is an opportunity to assess and solicit feedback on an existing policy.

Led by Human Rights Services within the Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI), we invite TMU community members to participate in consultations on their experiences with the policy as well as their suggestions for how to improve it.

What is the Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy?

The university’s Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy instructs the university community on the protection of human rights and prohibits discrimination and harassment across all areas of education, employment and student housing at TMU. The policy prohibits discrimination and harassment based on protected grounds guided by the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Read TMU’s Discrimination and Harassment Prevention Policy.
