TMU students, faculty and staff participating in mapping out the accessibility of public spaces using the Access Now app.

All TMU students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Map Mission Kick-off Event and help map the accessibility of public spaces around the TMU campus.

This event is hosted by the Community Student Engagement Group for Accessibility (CSEGA) in collaboration with AccessNow which was developed by TMU alumni Maayan Ziv.

What to expect

Participants will come together to help us reach our goal of enhancing the accessibility of public spaces like restaurants, cafes and stores around the TMU campus. Participants will explore and assess the locations and input the data into the AccessNow app, which is dedicated to crowdsourcing accessibility information.

Prior to the event, download the AccessNow app. We encourage you to then spend the day mapping at least 10 places near the TMU campus. The more reviews, the more accurate the accessibility of the location will be!

Bring your friends to build meaningful connections, enhance campus accessibility, and foster a sense of community and belonging.
