Innovations in technology and science are a major force in our economy’s growth. As the demand for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals continues to rise, post-secondary institutions must address the underrepresentation of equity-seeking groups in these areas. These initiatives must effectively assess diversity in our classrooms and leverage the employer-academia connection fostered in career services departments on campus.

Join us as we discuss approaches to diversifying STEM and examine initiatives at Ryerson and beyond. This event is jointly organized with the Career Centre.

Guest Moderator:

  • Chi-Chi Egbo - Campus Engagement Specialist, FEAS, Ryerson Career Centre

Panelists:

  • Imogen R. Coe - Dean, Faculty of Science
  • Eugenia Duodu - Chief Executive Officer, Visions of Science Network for Learning
  • Fenella Amarasinghe - Career Education Specialist, FEAS, Ryerson Career Centre
