When you look around Ryerson's campus, diversity is clearly a reality and one of our strengths. However, when you go beyond the surface and disaggregate representation data, a different picture emerges. Our Community, Our Diversity, the 2014 Diversity Self-ID Report provides a snapshot of the makeup of Ryerson's workforce. This baseline data shows where greater attention is needed to diversify academic faculties or administrative divisions.

In this session, we’ll explore data from the inaugural Diversity Self ID Report. Participants will discuss ways to use the data to make inclusion a priority in recruitment and retention to achieve a faculty and staff who reflect our students and community.

Moderators:

  • Denise O’Neil Green - Assistant Vice-President/Vice-Provost Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Tamar Myers - Director, Research, Planning and Assessment

All students, staff and faculty are invited to participate in this series of moderated discussions. While enjoying a warm bowl of soup and refreshments, participants will engage in an open conversation on a range of diversity related topics.
