Founded under the auspices of the Provost and Vice-President Academic on August 1st, 2016 the Office of Social Innovation (OSI) was created in response to the growth of social innovation initiatives for students and to support the advancement of social good.

What started out as individuals across campus championing different derivatives of social innovation (social entrepreneurship, sustainability, equality, diversity, inclusion, etc.) quickly became international recognition, awards, designations, executive leaders, and an ever-expanding culture of changemaking.
