Interested in serious web publishing, for online student projects or your own research? Omeka offers a user-friendly program that allows you to create complex multi-media narratives and build rich collections, while adhering to Dublin Core standards that ensure your metadata is consistent, reliable, and searchable. Omeka is designed for scholars, students, libraries, museums, and enthusiasts. The Centre for Digital Humanities (CDH) is keen to share its growing expertise in using Omeka as a pedagogical tool in the classroom and as a scholarly platform for research. This workshop will have presentations by members of Ryerson University Library and Archives, the Learning and Teaching Office, and the CDH, and provide a number of examples of uses of Omeka. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions! All are welcome; no experience is necessary. This workshop is supported by the office of the Dean of Arts.
