The iBEST Visiting Lecturer Series is proud to welcome Dr. S. Rahima Benhabbour, Associate Professor in the Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, for a compelling talk titled “Ultra-Long-Acting Delivery Systems: Engineering the Next Generation of Multi-Purpose Prevention Technologies (MPTs)”. Dr. Benhabbour will explore how innovative drug delivery systems can address critical global health challenges—such as HIV and unintended pregnancy—through a single, user-centered product. She will also present preclinical findings from various animal models, highlighting safety, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy, and discuss the current stage of development and future directions for these technologies.
