Delphina Fogarty RECE, BA

Delphina joined the Early Learning Centre (ELC) as a Registered Early Childhood Educator in January 2020. Prior to joining the ELC, Delphina held an RECE position with Centennial College Childcare Centre (Lab school) for 22 years, which afforded her the opportunity to work with infant, toddler and preschool families. 

Delphina’s career path has awarded her experience in Field Education supervision, curriculum review, and post-secondary course development. Delphina continues to hold an active position as a Part-time Studies ECE faculty with an Ontario college. 

Delphina has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in Sociology of child and family from York University, Bachelor of Adult Education degree from Brock University, an Ontario Diploma of Early Childhood Education from Centennial College and a Certification of Nutrition Specialist from CanFitPro. 

Delphina is committed to engaging in life-long learning and plans to earn a Masters of Early Childhood Studies in her near future. Delphina’s professional interests include global citizenship, child rights, ethical care, children’s mental health and the neuroscience of early learning. Her unwavering commitment to quality early learning and care, and passion for research development makes her a valuable member of the Toronto Metropolitan University community.
