The Edith Cowan University (ECU)- DEMIKNOW collaboration involves two ECU research entities: the ECU TRACS Migration Research Network and the ECU Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab.

The ECU TRACS Migration Research Network engages Perth’s unique identity as one of the fastest growing and yet most geographically isolated capital cities in the world, a hub of international labour and education markets. Scholars in the ECU TRACS Migration Research Network research Australia's migration history and futures, including the experiences and needs of its diverse communities, as well as the transnational social fields, practices and processes that locate them in global networks.

The ECU Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab is a research group closely linked to the ECU TRACS Migration Research Network. The ECU SAGE Futures Lab focuses on research and practice relating to social and cultural care, diversity in ageing, arts and music engagement and digital citizenship across the lifecourse.
