Graduation
All parchments, including reissues of previously awarded degrees, diplomas, and certificates, printed after June 1, 2023 will bear the new legal name of Toronto Metropolitan University.
If you graduated before June 2023, and therefore have a Ryerson University parchment, rest assured that your credential remains a valid, recognized, and respected representation of your educational accomplishment. There is no obligation to change your document.
If, however, you wish to have your document reissued under the new name, you can request a reissue subject to a printing and handling fee.
Eligible and non-eligible students receive their information approximately two weeks prior to convocation ceremonies.
Please refer to the Convocation website for Convocation information.
Students who are not able to attend their ceremony do not need to notify the university. You can follow the process for graduating in absentia to obtain your award document at another time.
In the month of your applicable convocation ceremony, you will be sent email instructions from MyCreds on how to access your electronic degree, professional master’s diploma, or certificate. The eAward document will look exactly like a printed degree, diploma or certificate. You will be able to electronically share the secured document with whomever you want, whenever you want, and from wherever you may be.
If you no longer have the email notification you received from MyCreds: Navigate to the MyCreds Education Provider (external link, opens in new window) and select the university name from the Institution drop down menu, then log in with your TMU username and password.
All standardized communication (email messages and/or letters) that you have received from the Office of Curriculum Management can be found in your Student Centre via MyServiceHub.
When you are on your Student Homepage, navigate to the My Communications tile.
