Webinar Description
Better understand the process of generating your first prototype, access applied research support and work with manufacturers. During this session you will learn how to build your first tangible prototype and how to use prototyping to connect with customers and validate your market.
Speaker bio
John Lam
John Lam is the Entrepreneurship Innovation Specialist for the City of Mississauga's Economic Development Office, and more specifically, for the IDEA Mississauga. His role involves supporting innovative scale-up companies in Mississauga or those who wish to locate in Mississauga. His entrepreneurial experiences stem from starting two ventures, one promoting physical activity to youth through Ultimate Frisbee workshops and another connecting people to mental health resources through chatbot technology. John has also taught entrepreneurship courses as a teaching faculty member at Wilfrid Laurier University, and led start-up incubators at the University of Guelph, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Sheridan College. He studied Recreation, Business and Psychology in undergraduate, completed the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology (MBET) program from the University of Waterloo and is now working towards a PhD in Higher Education with a focus on entrepreneurship education from the University of Toronto.
