About

About

An enterprising mindset is all about being resourceful, solving problems, spotting opportunities, and making things happen inside and outside the classroom. We’re here to help you take that energy beyond school and turn it into a thriving career, showing you just how many doors open when you think like an entrepreneur.

Three Mission Pillars

Career Self-Management & Employability

In today's gig economy, building a sustainable career requires more than just skills—it demands mastery of career self-management and networking. Our mission is to equip you with the tools to thrive in freelance and project-based work, empowering you to navigate and succeed in a dynamic and evolving job market.

Being Enterprising

Success in the modern world means being enterprising—spotting opportunities, taking action, and staying resilient in the face of challenges. Our mission is to help you share your creative work, add value, and turn your ideas into impact.

New Venture Creation

Starting a new venture requires more than just a great idea—it demands skills in sales, marketing, legal matters, business strategy, and finance. Our mission is to equip you with the knowledge to navigate grants, manage cultural stakeholders, and confidently build your business from the ground up.

Why It Matters

Beyond Making Stuff

Creatives need more than just technical skills—they need strong enterprising skills to succeed. Creative enterprise is about more than making; it's about applying, sharing, and distributing your work to make a real impact in the world.

Self-Employed Vibes

Creative professionals in fields like literary, visual, and performing arts, design, film, TV, radio, advertising, gaming, and publishing are 3-5 times more likely to be self-employed. As your own boss, you’re not just honing your craft—you’re using your skills to create opportunities and generate wealth.

Booming Creative Services

Design, media, performance, communications, and publishing are thriving—especially when they intersect with other industries. The fastest growth is happening beyond traditional creative sectors, with creative roles embedded in other industries or focused on cultural production. This is why freelancing and short-term gigs are becoming essential paths for creative professionals.

Creative enterprise skills are about applying, sharing, or distributing creative work, just not making it. You’ll connect with industry professionals, alumni, and students to spot opportunities, act on them, and make things happen in your unique way.
