Helping students cope: Q & A with Student Wellbeing

Category:To: Faculty members and sessional instructors
March 31, 2020

If you are feeling overwhelmed by the rapidly changing teaching and learning environment, or are looking for ways to support students in this challenging time, the Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning is partnering with Student Wellbeing to host a series of virtual Q&A Sessions to help address some of your questions.

We invite you to share your questions for Student Wellbeing leaders in advance, to be answered during the session. There will also be time during each session dedicated to answering any additional questions you might have. Sessions will cover questions such as:

  • I’ve never given online exams before, what support is available?
  • How can I help support students who are struggling with stress or anxiety?
  • What mental health or medical resources are available for students?
  • What do accommodations look like in a fully online classroom?

Sessions will be moderated by Natalie Roach, M.Ed. Mental Health Coordinator, Workplace Wellbeing Services, Student Health and Wellness, Ryerson University
