Publisher Resources with Brightspace Integrations

Many publishers offer online content and assessment features related to course textbooks. TMU instructors can opt to provide access to these resources through eligible integrations in their D2L Brightspace courses.
The benefits of using these integrations are often:
- Ease of access for students
- Automated classlists in the external tools
- Streamlined grade syncing from assessments in the external tool to Brightspace Grades
Note: Each third-party publisher manages and supports their own tool and resources.

Requesting New Integrations
TMU Instructors and Staff can request new D2L Brightspace integrations, for publishers who are not yet listed.

Access to the Cengage WebAssign Brightspace integration is enabled in individual courses, by request.
Please share your course shell code with courses@torontomu.ca to request this integration.
The Macmillan Achieve integration is not currently available for use at this time.
Instead, instructors can opt to use the third party tool outside of the integration, and import grades into Brightspace. Visit the Export and import grades resource to learn how to import grades into a course.
Access to the McGraw-Hill Connect Brightspace integration is enabled in individual courses, by request.

Access to the Pearson Brightspace integration is enabled in some individual courses by request.
At TMU, we are only able to enable integrations when resources do not include an option to complete purchases in-tool. Pearson has accommodated this by removing the option to directly purchase access to textbooks from many of their resources. However, it is not currently possible to remove it from all resources. As a result, some Pearson resources are eligible for integration, while others are not.
Please begin by contacting your representative at Pearson to determine if the resource you plan to use in your course is compatible with TMU's standards.
- If your representative at Pearson has confirmed that it is compatible, please share your course shell code with courses@torontomu.ca to request this integration.
- If it is not compatible, instructors can opt to use the tool outside of the integration, and import grades into Brightspace. Your Pearson representative will provide steps to set up the tool at the beginning of the term, and instructions you can share with your students. If assessments are completed in the tool, please see the Export and import grades resource to learn how to import external grades into your Brightspace course.
Access to the Perusall Brightspace integration is enabled in individual courses, by request.

The purchase of eBooks & Access Codes for course resources can be facilitated through the TMU Campus Store.
Please provide your students with the link to the Campus Store's ecommerce site to purchase eBooks and Access Codes for online publisher resources.
