Title: Rise of Machines: Examining customer preferences for technology during restaurant interactions

Description: Traditionally, restaurants have centered on human connection, bringing people together for shared meals and experiences. However, as the industry grapples with labor shortages and financial pressures, technology is increasingly stepping in to transform how restaurants operate, from food preparation to customer service. This research explores emerging consumer preferences and responses to the growing integration of technology in restaurant interactions, shedding light on what this shift might mean for the future of dining.

Bio:  Dr. Julie Kellershohn is an Assistant Professor at the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. With extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, her research delves into consumer behavior and the role of marketing and technology in influencing food and beverage purchase decisions.
