Chang School certificate and graduate students

You’re encouraged to apply for transfer credits as soon as you’re registered in a program.

Late fees don't apply to Chang School certificate students and graduate students.

Undergraduate students

Apply for transfer credits as soon as you accept your Offer of Admission to Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). This way you’ll receive your results prior to the start of the upcoming term and can help you avoid repeating courses.

To have your transfer credits apply to the winter, spring or fall terms, you need to submit an application (and course outlines/transcripts, if required) by the deadlines in the table below.

Submit all of your courses for evaluation at the same time.

Term Deadline Details
Spring April 1 Receive transfer credit results before the first day of spring classes.
Fall July 30 Receive transfer credit results before the first day of fall classes.
Winter December 1 Receive transfer credit results before the first day of winter classes.

Late fees

If you’re a new TMU student starting in the fall, you can submit a Transfer Credit Application anytime before April 1 of the same academic year, with no financial penalty.

Transfer Credit Applications received after April 1 will incur a $50 transfer credit late fee (for each submission).

The late fee also applies to the further evaluation (after April 1) of incomplete applications that were submitted prior to the deadline. Transfer Credit Reassessment requests must be received by April 1 of the same academic year to avoid a late penalty of $50 (for each submission).

The transfer credit late fee is a non-refundable processing fee.

Late fee holds

The late fee will be assigned to your record. Review the Holds section of your Student Center on the MyServiceHub tab of my.torontomu.ca (opens in new window)  to find any potential transfer credit late fee holds on your account.

To have the hold removed, please pay the late fee as soon as possible. The hold affects your ability to view grades and request official university documentation such as transcripts. For more information, please visit the Service Fee Form guide page. Holds for paid late fees will be removed within two business days.
