Internal Toronto Metropolitan University Course Transfers
Transfer credit applications are only for courses you completed at other institutions. Do not apply for transfer credits for Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) courses, including courses completed at the Chang School.
Transferring previously completed TMU courses
Undergraduate students: You can run your Advisement Report (this report is available to newly admitted students in early August) to determine how the courses you’ve previously completed (including Chang courses) are being used to fulfill your new program requirements. If you have any course listed under the Non-Applicable section of your Advisement Report, consider submitting a (PDF file) Course Exception.
Chang School certificate students: If you are pursuing a certificate where a previously completed undergraduate course is part of the curriculum, courses with similar course codes will automatically transfer (e.g. CACC 100 is equivalent to ACC 100). If it is a similar undergraduate course with different course code, consider submitting a (PDF file) Course Exception.
Note: You can only receive credit for 50% of the program's curriculum from prior TMU studies, other post-secondary studies or challenge credits. You must complete at least half of the degree requirements after you are admitted.
Students who have already received transfer credits towards a former TMU program
If you have already received transfer credits towards a previous TMU program, you do not need to reapply for transfer credits. After formally enrolling in your new program, you can run your Advisement Report (this report is available in early August) to determine how the granted transfer credits are being used to fulfill your new program requirements. We strive to provide you with the most suitable transfer credit decision to support your new program requirements. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about how your granted transfer credits apply towards your new program.
