What has been the most rewarding or enjoyable part of your university experience?

My most rewarding experience was working on my capstone project: a smart-tagged 3D-printed jewelry business. It allowed me to blend my passion for fashion and jewelry with graphic communications, creating an innovative business idea. The hard work paid off through collaboration with like-minded individuals and seeing my peers appreciate our concept.

What was your biggest challenge this past year, and how did you persevere/overcome this challenge?

Juggling two jobs, a full course load and a capstone project while trying to maintain my personal life was a big challenge. Having empathetic professors, supervisors and peers helped me when they gave me grace for times I was overwhelmed with my responsibilities.

What is a memory that stands out to you from your university experience?

My favourite university experience was a two-week trip to Germany with my peers to visit Interpack, a packaging trade show. It was the perfect mix of learning, fun, and creating long-lasting friendships. I am very grateful to have represented my program at an international level.

What advice do you have for current or future students?

Give it your all and do your best, because these four years will fly by. Cherish and show gratitude to your support system, practice self-compassion, and discover a healthy outlet to manage stress. Embrace the highs and the lows, and enjoy this incredible journey!
