TORONTO - The Ted Rogers MBA program has ranked third in Canada by the Corporate Knights Better World MBA Ranking. The annual ranking reflects the strong demand for sustainability in core courses and faculty research in MBA programs across the world. The program also ranked eleventh internationally.

“We are so proud and impressed by the continued success of our MBA program,” said Ted Rogers School Dean Daphne Taras. “Sustainability is a growing concern and thanks to our hardworking faculty and staff, we are integrating sustainability education into our curriculum today to help create ethical business leaders for tomorrow.”

The Better World MBA Ranking (external link) , now in its 19th year, identifies the top full-time MBA programs in the world for instilling a holistic purpose of business in future leaders, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, tools and values to build a more inclusive and prosperous society in sync with our natural world.

To determine this year's ranking, Corporate Knights evaluated 147 MBA’s, including the 2021 Financial Times 100 Global MBA programs, every program that made the 2020 Top 40 in the Corporate Knights Better World MBA Ranking, and select MBA programs accredited by AMBA, AACSB or EQUIS.

Programs were evaluated across key performance indicators including core course integration of sustainability, research publications per faculty member on sustainability topics, percent of total faculty publications on sustainability topics, number of citations per faculty for those publications, sustainability-focused research institutes and centres, faculty gender diversity and faculty racial diversity.

“Ethical corporate governance and accountability are some of our core values and this ranking is a great testament to our program and the faculty who translate those values to our students in the classroom and to the public through their research,” said Dr. Donna Smith, Graduate Program Director, MBA Program.

In last year’s ranking, the Ted Rogers School of Management was a double honouree with the Bachelor of Commerce (Bcomm) program ranking first overall in Canada. There was no undergraduate program ranking this year.
