Charlie Wall-Andrews, a PhD in Management student at the Ted Rogers School of Management, has been named a Women's Executive Network (WXN) 2021 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner (external link, opens in new window) .
This is the country’s most recognized award for the highest achieving female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. It was created to recognize the incredible accomplishments of women, develop a community of support and increase the visibility of strong leaders to inspire future generations.
Wall-Andrews was selected in the award’s MLSE Arts, Sports & Entertainment category, which recognizes women who have shaped our thinking and culture through a profound impact made in these significant areas. She joins an influential community of over 1,300 powerful women who share a passion for the advancement and empowerment of women.
Wall-Andrews is a Trudeau Scholar (external link, opens in new window) and an alumna of the prestigious Ariane de Rothschild Fellowship, which specializes in social entrepreneurship and cross-cultural leadership. As a leader in the creative industries, she established many programs, such as the Creative Entrepreneur Incubator and Equity X Production Development Program, which prepares artists to turn their passion and talent into a sustainable career. She also serves on many Boards and is the Vice-Chair for Music Canada's advisory council.
In addition, Wall-Andrews is a PhD in Management student at the Ted Rogers School specializing in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She works as a researcher at the school’s Diversity Institute under the supervision of Dr. Wendy Cukier (founder of Institute and a 2019 Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award recipient), and is dedicated to advancing scientific research and critical theory in management studies and creative entrepreneurship. She is also a lecturer at The Creative School at Ryerson University.
The Top 100 Award will be presented to Wall-Andrews at the virtual Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100: Awards Summit & Gala on November 25, 2021.
