Message from the Associate Dean, Engagement & Inclusion

At the Ted Rogers School of Management, we work hard to embody the values of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility or EDI. For us, EDI is not an afterthought; it’s part of our foundation. And, it is on top of this strong foundation that our faculty, staff, students and alumni are empowered to build and sustain meaningful community connections. In this report, we’re proud to share examples of what we’ve done over the 2022-2023 academic year and how we’re doing it. In this report, you’ll meet some trailblazing alumni, faculty and staff who have shaped an inclusive campus environment and inspiring students whose ideas are the future.

Simply put, we care - celebrate, advocate, reciprocate, educate - because the journey toward an equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible future is one worth undertaking with passion and purpose.

Meeting the 50-30 Challenge

In 2022, we achieved the 50-30 Challenge within the Ted Rogers School administration, which encourages inclusion of diverse groups within workplaces, and gives all Canadians a seat at the table. The 50-30 challenge aims to encourage:

• Gender parity ("50%")

• Significant representation ("30%")

Significant representation ("30%") of other under-represented groups, including racialized persons, people living with disabilities, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and Indigenous peoples.

Advisory councils

The Ted Rogers School of Management’s Advisory Councils are comprised of 168 industry leaders whose collective knowledge and deep real-world experience advances Ted Rogers School’s vision of shaping diverse global leaders through experiential education that is practical, innovative and socially conscious.

In 2022, we introduced the first diversity self-identification survey in order to meet the 50-30 challenge for advisory council membership at the Ted Rogers School.
