Eat Impact
Founder: Anna Stegink
Did you know that nearly 60% of all food produced in Canada goes to waste? Food waste is a massive and complex problem that is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions.
Fruits and vegetables have the highest wastage rates of all foods. In Canada alone 1.4 billion pounds of perfectly fresh produce goes to waste every year.
Eat Impact partners with farmers and distributors to rescue produce that is at risk of going to waste due to not meeting cosmetic retail standards or being in excess supply.
We deliver this perfectly fresh misfit produce to customers to help them eat better, do good and save money.
We curate a weekly selection for our boxes based on seasons and availability. Customers can customize their box to ensure they receive fruit and veg they love, and we deliver their order to their doorstep.
We are more than a produce box, we are building a movement. Making an impact on climate change through fighting avoidable food waste requires a culture shift. It requires a large group of Canadians to do better and demand better. We are building this community, and with them we will scale Eat Impact into Canada’s sustainability first grocery delivery service.
