Start your entrepreneurial journey with the #1 social venture incubator in Canada.

Elevate your career, degree, or idea by participating in the SVZ's free, one-of-a-kind, collaborative Ideation program this winter.

Are you eligible to participate in Ideation at the SVZ? You must...

  1. Have an idea for (or are interested in contributing to) a social venture. What does this mean?
  2. 17 years of age or older.
  3. A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, visa/permit holders, or refugee claimant.
  4. Have not previously participated in an SVZ ideation program.

If you answered 'yes' to all of these, then you are eligible to participate in the SVZ Paid to Innovate program.

Ideation is for you if...

You are passionate about social change.

You have an idea for social change, but aren't sure how to make it a reality.

You would like support in starting to work on your idea or developing a business plan.

You have an interest in entrepreneurial thinking.

About Ideation

Ideation at the SVZ is designed to guide participants through the process of exploring social issues they are passionate about and coming up with innovative solutions. It is also open to students who are intrigued by entrepreneurship and want to make the world a better place. Participants will take part in workshop sessions that will cover:

  • Problem Definition
  • Ecosystem mapping
  • Design Thinking 
  • Business fundamentals

This program will also feature Fireside Chats and industry expert networking events with seasoned social entrepreneurs to inspire, expose and support students through their entrepreneurial journeys. 

Participants will have access to the SVZ coworking space, social events, business workshops, and mentorship.
