Our goal is to help foster community, identity, and a sense of belonging to campus and to assist you in navigating the various systems at TMU.

Let's Talk...

Fall 2024 and winter 2025

Connect with your peers and discuss topics related to history, culture and experiences within the Black community.

These events are peer-to-peer opportunities for you to unpack history, learn and be empowered.

October and December 2024

Explore and discuss the skills, tools and resources that support Black flourishing with this bi-monthly panel and learning series.

"Let’s Talk About Us"

November 5 to December 10, 2024

This six-week wellbeing group offers a supportive space for exploring and affirming the complexity and richness of Black student life and emotional health. Facilitated by Black staff, the group focuses on connection, practical strategies and embracing joy.

Black Student Lounge Events

In addition to providing a safe space for TMU Black community members, the Black Student Lounge (BSL) is used to host events. The Black Student Success team collaborates across the university to deliver regular programming in the BSL.

Whether you’re planning an event, hosting a meeting, or organizing an info session that supports and centres Black students at TMU, we’ve got your back. Learn more about how eligible students can apply for up to $5,000 in funding to make it happen.
