Husna Osman

Husna Osman is a nurse and an undergraduate psychology student at TMU aspiring to become a primary care physician. She is passionate about addressing social determinants of health, patient advocacy and culturally-sensitive trauma-informed care. To further support this work, she is a member of the Osler Research Institutes 'Community-Based Research Advisory Committee' to produce and design research that aligns with community needs and values. Currently Husna works in patient flow, specifically discharge in which she works with patients, families and medical care team to address barriers to safe discharge and support patients who will be living with chronic illness and/or disabilities in the community.
