Dr. Danielle Penney

Dr. Danielle Penney is a first year Family Medicine resident at the University of Toronto. She is excited to be back in Toronto after completing both her undergrad and medical school at McMaster University. Prior to medical school she worked as a professional nanny caring for children with special needs. While in medical school, Danielle had to undergo multiple emergency surgeries during her clerkship rotations, which sparked a passion for patient advocacy and student wellness. She hopes to use her experiences to help shape policies that improve the learner experience and re-imagine medical education at the TMU School of Medicine.
