Sharon Mayne-Devine

Sharon Mayne Devine is the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Family Services of Peel Dufferin, and the Davis Centre for Families, a multi-service centre located in Peel. Sharon is committed to community collaboration and is passionate about finding innovative solutions to address intractable social issues.

Prior to becoming CEO, Sharon taught at the University of Guelph in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition, holding several positions including Assistant Professor, Sessional Instructor and Special Graduate Faculty.

Sharon is a clinical member and approved supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a Registered Social Worker. She has worked as an individual, couple and family therapist since 1990. Her professional experience and academic interests include transformational leadership, addressing issues of violence and trauma in the lives of women and children, pedagogical practices that facilitate transformational learning and narrative approaches to exploring experiences of marginalization, discrimination, and trauma.
