Regular physical activity is a critical well-being and learning strategy, helping you feel, think and be your best in your day-to-day and in the classroom. While many of you have joined us online since our closure in March, we know being together in-person - even six feet apart - only strengthens the experience. While things will be very different in many ways, the core experience of moving together remains intact, and the positive effects can make all the difference in our days.
The safety of our students, members and staff is always our first priority. An extensive review and redesign of our spaces and operations has been undertaken to ensure we are aligned with public health guidelines and emerging industry best practices.
We are confident you, our students and members, understand the importance of these new protocols and your role in keeping yourself and others safe. Students and members are expected to adhere to all safety requirements, facility signage and staff direction in advance of and throughout their visit. Expectations will be strictly enforced.

RAC & MAC
- Weekdays: 7:00am-9:00pm | 90+ minute bookings
- Effective March 21: Reservations not required before 10:15am on weekdays - facilities will be cleared at 10:15am in advance of the 10:30am reservation slot
- Weekend: 8:00am-6:30pm | 120+ minute bookings
Women’s Only Hours in RAC Fitness Centre
Everyone who identifies as a woman is welcome at our Women's Only fitness centre hours at the RAC. For the purposes of the Women Only Hours, women includes all cis and trans individuals who identify as a woman.
- Mon/Wed/Fri @ 10:30am-12:00pm
- Tues/Thurs @ 2:00-3:30pm

What to Expect
Extensive safety measures, including mask and vaccination requirements, limiting our capacity, equipment spacing, health screenings and cleaning/disinfecting have been implemented. Learn what’s expected of you before and during your visit.
- Mask/face covering may be removed when showering or entering the pool water, but must otherwise be worn on the pool deck and in the changerooms.
- Patrons are encouraged to take a cleansing shower before their arrival at the facility to maximize their time in the pool.
- On the pool deck, patrons will have access to a small bin for storing their mask and other small belongings during their swim. The bins are fully visible from the pool, but are not monitored by staff during the swim. Bins are sanitized regularly.
- When a lane is being used by two swimmers, they are asked to each swim along one side of the lane throughout their swim.
- Time slots marked “Women’s Only” are available to anyone who identifies as a woman (women includes all cis and trans individuals who identify as a woman).
- Time slots marked “Trans + Gender Diverse” are available to anyone committed to creating a positive space for trans and gender-diverse members of our community.
