In Photos: Celebrating past, present and future at fall convocation

TMU celebrated student success and welcomed a new chancellor during October convocation ceremonies

Convocation is a time of transition. As TMU graduates reflect on their student journeys, they also look toward the new opportunities that lie ahead. 

More than 2,000 students crossed the stage at the Mattamy Athletic Centre during three ceremonies held on October 15 and 16, 2024. The ceremonies were marked with celebrations that honoured the TMU’s past while ushering in the next chapter at TMU.

TMU ceremonial mace is used at each ceremony to symbolize the chancellor’s authority to award degrees. This year, the university’s new name was carved into the mace.
