Draft academic plan reflects community input from eight-month consultation period.

As we look ahead to the future of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), I am pleased to share an update on our progress on the development of the 2025-30 Academic Plan. Over the eight-month consultation period that began in fall 2023, we have engaged with 118 groups from both the academic and administrative sides of our university. This collaborative effort has included over 1,600 individuals – including students, staff, faculty, alumni and partners.

For me, these consultations have been an incredibly enlightening experience, providing a deeper understanding and appreciation of the unique strengths and aspirations of our TMU community. The insights and perspectives shared have been instrumental in shaping the themes and priorities that are central to the draft academic plan.

As we move forward, I am inviting the TMU community to  (PDF file) review the draft academic plan and share your feedback (external link) . Your engagement is crucial to ensure that this plan reflects the diverse voices and experiences that make our university exceptional. We are committed to creating a plan that not only addresses the needs of today but also sets a visionary path for the future.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the consultations and shared their valuable insights. Your contributions are the foundation of this plan.
