Join the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic for an inspiring lunch as part of the Empowering Women in Academia at TMU speaker series. This session will feature Dr. Imogen Coe, a leading scientist, scholar-activist, and advocate for equity in research and academia.

In her talk, "From Science to Social Change: Building Networks, Leveraging Privilege, and Finding Courage in Academia," Dr. Coe will reflect on her journey from international student to academic leader and social innovator. She will explore the power of relationships and networks, the responsibility of privilege, and the role of courage in challenging stereotypes and exclusion in academia.

The Empowering Women in Academia at TMU series is intended to encourage networking, cultivate pan-university cross-discipline collaboration through the sharing of ideas, and foster mentoring among women and diverse academic staff.

The guest speaker presentation will be followed by a Q and A with the speaker and an in-person networking session. Advanced registration is appreciated for catering considerations.
