Walsh Family Law Moot and Negotiation
The Walsh Family Moot competition is open to 2nd and 3rd-year law students and is intended to develop relationships between law schools and practitioners. With a focus on the study of Family Law, this year’s competition took place on March 9, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario.
The Lincoln Alexander Law moot team, represented by Sarah Bonner-Proulx, Maha Khawaja, Felisia Milana and Margarita Rodriguez Simon, brought home the Top Overall Team award for the second year in a row! Margarita Rodriguez Simon was additionally awarded the Second Top Oralist award.
Alyssa Shi and Chloe Wang diligently represented Lincoln Alexander Law in the Walsh Family Law Negotiation, representing clients over 3 rounds of negotiations.

Canadian National Negotiation Competition
The Canadian National Negotiation Competition (CNNC) is a competitive moot that encourages non-litigation forms of dispute resolution. Students have the opportunity to develop their oral advocacy, and negotiation skills in a multiparty simulation scenario. This year, the CNNC took place in Montreal, Quebec on March 1-2, 2024.
Anasofia Heilbron, Aman Johal, Thanu Jude Xavier and Ayena Zahid did an excellent job representing the Lincoln Alexander team! We would like to thank our coaches, Camille Walker and Alexandra Murray who dedicated their time, effort and support to the team.
National Labour Arbitration Competition
Linconal Alexander Law made its second appearance at the National Labour Arbitration Competition (NLAC) this February. A truly unique competition, the NLAC saw Sherene Furnell and Hesham Ghobarah act as both Union counsel and Management Counsel in an arbitration-packed weekend. We’d like to thank Kalye Duff for her meaningful coaching and upper-year students Kanwar Brar and Lindsay Poole for acting as student coaches.
