Fee Payments

Visit our Students page for the significant dates.

If you have applied for OSAP and are waiting for your funding to arrive, you have until the end of September to pay your fees balance. Late fees are applied at the end of September.

Winter term fees will appear on your MyServiceHub student account in October, and are due in January.

Fees for the fall and winter terms are charged based on your course enrolments.

If you are making changes to your enrolments after paying your fees or receiving OSAP funding, view your MyServiceHub account for fee changes, and pay any outstanding fees by the appropriate deadline.

Visit Fee Payments for information on how to pay your fees.

Financial Assistance

Scholarships

If you were awarded an entrance scholarship, it will be applied to your Toronto Metropolitan University student account in late August.

Government Assistance

Domestic students enrolled in our JD program are eligible for OSAP. Upon acceptance to the program, eligible students may apply for a combination of government grants and/or loans. For more information on how to apply, please visit OSAP's Application website (external link) .

If you receive OSAP funding, your funds will be directed to your Toronto Metropolitan University account and will be applied to your fees, and any remaining funds will be deposited into your bank account.

Professional Student Line of Credit

Applicants may wish to consider a professional student line of credit to assist with funding during their studies. Many financial institutions offer these and other lending products specifically for students in professional schools.

It is strongly recommended that multiple options be researched to ensure that applicants find the best solution for their individual needs.

Lincoln Alexander Law students who are Canadians or permanent residents, are eligible for preferred bank loans through several banks depending on past credit history.

To apply, please contact individual banks directly. You will be asked for an annual budget and credit history. A lack of a positive credit history, including no credit history, can be an obstacle to accessing financing for your legal education.

For your convenience, we have requested that each bank designate individuals to handle all student loans. Historically, this one branch arrangement allows more personalized and efficient service for each participant. Loan pre-approvals are possible in some cases. Contact the banks listed for more details.
