Child and Youth Care (BA)

Learn to design and implement therapeutic interventions, programs and services that partner with young people facing adversity in the process of bringing about positive change.

Disability Studies (BA)

Explore ways to improve the lives of people with disabilities through disability-informed approaches to mental health, technology, policy design, the arts and more.

Early Childhood Studies (BA)

Learn to support learning and growth in the early years and enhance the quality of life for young children and their families.

Midwifery Education Program (BHSc)

Collaborative Nursing Degree Program (BScN)

Nutrition and Food (BASc)

Prepare to promote healthy eating habits that enhance Canadians’ quality of life. Gain the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a range of professional pathways within the food industry, dietetics, food science and more.

Occupational Health and Safety (BASc)

Help prevent injury and illness in all types of workplaces. Learn to evaluate human factors and ergonomic issues associated with injury and accidents, and to assess harmful exposures to chemicals, radiation and physical agents.

Public Health (BASc)

Help prevent disease and protect public health for the entire population. Become a public health inspector or pursue food safety, quality assurance, water quality and infection control within the private sector.

Social Work (BSW)

Learn to promote social justice and equity. Support individuals to access multiple social services, participate more fully in society and accomplish their goals.

Urban and Regional Planning (BURPI)

Learn to create and implement plans to develop and enhance regional, urban, suburban and rural communities, and advise on planning decisions.

Explore our Minors

A minor is an optional secondary area of study that can increase depth of knowledge and build expertise. Students can either choose an area of personal interest beyond their degree program, or a specialized area that will serve their future career.

There are 60+ different minors offered across TMU including several within the Faculty of Community Services. These are all available to students, based on eligibility.
