DARYN TYNDALE
Former Graduate Researcher
Daryn assisted with a content analysis of The Conversation Canada, exploring how the platform blends conventions of journalistic and academic writing, as well as examining the role of data visualizations in explanatory journalism.
Daryn is a recent graduate of Toronto Met's Master of Professional Communication program. She received her Bachelor’s degree from McGill University in 2019, where she majored in Political Science with a minor in Communication Studies. Her research interests lie at the intersection of these two disciplines, exploring how contemporary communication practices uphold and upend distributions of power.
The Explanatory Journalism Project is supported in part by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
