LGBTQ Youth - Risk Factors They Face - Part B: Ending Counselling (#800B)
This simulation was developed in collaboration with Dr. Farzana Doctor to meet the learning requirements of her social work class at Toronto Metropolitan University.
This teenager has been attending weekly counseling sessions for the last nine weeks. In the tenth and final session, the social worker must review what was accomplished and help the client come to terms with saying goodbye.

Information for Learners
Derek has been attending weekly counseling sessions for the past nine weeks. The sessions must end as the agency has an upper limit of ten sessions per client. This is week ten and the counsellor must review the work done, encourage feelings about the ending and say goodbye.
