All community members are welcome to join the Positive Space Faculty and Staff Network and the Trans Collective (external link)  as we observe the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR). Started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith, TDOR is an annual observance on November 20th that honours the memory of trans people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-trans violence.

What to expect

The event will begin at noon and include reflections from community members to honour the memory of trans and non-binary individuals who have been subject to violence.

Registration is not required.

This event is part of Fall Pride at TMU

Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in events that honour, celebrate and affirm the dignity, equality and visibility of 2SLGBTQ+ people.
