The co-operative (co-op) & internship program offers engineering students 8, 12 & 16 months of paid, full-time on-the-job experience, to develop skills, build professional connections and gain confidence in their chosen discipline.

The Optional Specialization in Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship (OSEIE) offers business and innovation theory to help students shape ideas, develop technology, and prepare their concepts into marketable ventures.

The Accelerated Masters of Applied Science Pathway helps research-minded students, who have a minimum CGPA of A-, earn a Master of Applied Sciences up to one year earlier.

A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License (external link)  is an optional professional designation for engineering graduates through Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

The first year transition program is designed to help students who may be struggling with the pace of university learning, have missed credits, or need to improve their academic standing. This program ensures that students have the tools and guidance they need to succeed and remain on track in their studies.

Industrial engineering (IE) is a versatile and crucial branch of engineering that impacts every industry, such as service, supply chain, healthcare, information technology, finance, and manufacturing. IE provides a systematic approach to streamline and improve productivity and efficiency. Our IE curriculum, including hands-on labs and involvement in the societies, enhances expertise in various areas: data analytics, optimization, human factors, statistical control, and optimizing production processes and facility layouts. The IE program prepares students to become valuable assets for employers, including those who offer CO-OP and internship positions.

Through both theory and application, students begin their program by focusing on the foundations of engineering science. They then gain specialized knowledge in industrial system design, operations research, data science, industrial ergonomics, systems modelling and more. 

With an opportunity to enrol in a paid co-op program, and options to enrol in many specializations, students become skilled in finding solutions for processes, productivity and people. Full course descriptions are available on the undergraduate calendar.
