Graduate Student Groups

Grad Ambassadors

With a representative from each graduate program, FEAS grad ambassadors plan, promote and run social events, and help ensure that students connect across programs. They are peers who you can talk to about all aspects of Toronto Metropolitan University graduate life.

Want to Be a Grad Ambassador?

When applications open at the end of August, the FEAS Grad Office will notify you via email. They will request a letter that outlines your interest in the role and a resumé. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills, engage with your peers from other disciplines, and gain relevant experience in event planning, student outreach and engagement, and a record of involvement in extracurricular activities. The most qualified applicants will be invited to come in for an interview.

Course Unions

Graduate course unions ensure that your voice gets heard and represented. They serve as practical forums where relevant political, cultural, and academic interests can be discussed. Graduate course union representatives encourage interaction amongst students, professors and the Toronto Metropolitan University Student Union's Graduate Council so everyone is kept informed of issues relevant to the university community. They also encourage broad student interest and participation in graduate-related initiatives, organize social events, and promote programs to prospective students and employers.

A graduate course union can be started for any FEAS graduate program, including aerospace, architecture, biomedical, building science, chemical, civil, computer networks, engineering innovation and entrepreneurship, energy and innovation, electrical and computer, and mechanical and industrial.

If you have any questions about graduate course unions, including how to run for a governance position, please contact feasgrad@torontomu.ca.
