Early Childhood Studies (MA)

Classes in the Fall and Winter terms meet for three hours a week for 12 weeks. Day classes run between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., while evening classes run from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Classes in the Spring and Summer meet twice a week (each class is three hours) and run for six weeks. Day classes run between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., while evening classes run from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Please note, while there are 22 MAECS electives listed in the YSGS calendar, in graduate school not all electives are offered every year. The program offers 12 courses each academic year, which includes the two required courses. The required courses alternate every fall so that one of the two required courses is always offered in the evening. Electives will vary somewhat each year.

The following are the courses we are planning to offer for the 2025-2026 academic year. While every effort will be made to offer all listed courses, offerings are subject to change based on staffing, enrolment and other considerations.
