Research focus while a Fellow with CERC Migration

During the CERC Migration Journalism Fellowship, Solafa Magdy will delve into migration and displacement's intricate emotional, social, and psychological dimensions. Her work will spotlight the lived experiences of migrants and refugees, focusing on the resilience of individuals navigating exile, motherhood, and identity.

Through her independent project, she aims to create narratives that humanize migration stories, challenge stereotypes, and amplify voices often left unheard. By collaborating with CERC Migration researchers, Solafa will bridge the gap between academic insights and personal storytelling, leveraging this platform to foster empathy, inspire meaningful dialogue, and reshape public discourse on migration and displacement.
