Yee Ngan Pang (Elroi) is a multimedia journalist and producer, with experience producing stories on a wide range of topics, from indigenous people to wildlife trafficking, migration, and refugees. He currently produce multimedia investigative journalism through The Fourth as well as impact advocacy campaigns through untitled kompeni, two companies he co-founded.

Research focus while a Fellow with CERC Migration

During this fellowship, Elroi will examine the complex relationship between media and xenophobia, with particular attention to how media narratives influence nation-building processes. This work will leverage social listening tools to conduct large-scale data collection and analysis. Through these analyses, Elroi aims to develop comprehensive evaluation frameworks that can strengthen future social cohesion programs. This research will take a broader perspective by investigating the interconnections between journalism, media activism, and academic scholarship.
