Carmen Gómez Martín

Carmen Gómez Martín is a professor at the Department of Sociology and Gender Studies at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO-Ecuador). She is also a member of the International Migrations and Social Inequalities Research Team at FLACSO and member of the Migrations and Boundaries South-South Work Team at CLACSO. Her research work focuses on globalization, social inequalities and international migration. Her main research and publications revolve around two fields of study that are approached from critical perspectives: asylum/refuge/forced displacement and studies on skilled migration. These areas of research interest cover diverse geographies: Latin America, Europe, Maghreb and Middle East.
