CCS Lab Booking Policy

Purpose of bookings:

CCS Labs are bookable for a TMU course or event. If it's not a TMU course or event then we need to have the Chair/Dean/Director to sponsor the use of the lab.

Logins to lab computers:

Each participant is to login to the lab computer using their TMU credentials. If the participants are external to TMU, each participant needs to be provided with a guest account. The requestor needs to have the sponsor for these accounts (A TMU employee cannot login to the computers using their credentials. This will violate the Acceptable Use of Information Technology policy.)

Lab Advisor presence:

A Lab Advisor or CCS staff must be present when the lab is in use. If the event is taking place outside of our regular operating hours  a Lab Advisor must be scheduled for the event to assist users with IT related concerns. There is a fee to have a Lab Advisor working outside of our regular operating hours. It's the booking departments responsibility to provide a cost center so that the Lab Advisor is compensated while working the scheduled event.

Note: Bookings will not take place until a cost center is provided.

Lab Booking Requests

Requests to book a lab must be received five (5) days prior to the event. The advanced notice is required for the CCS team to source a Lab Advisor, confirm the lab availability and connect with security to make the lab accessible during the event.

For lab bookings, please use our Online Lab Booking Request form.
