Queer Theory
This course explores the history, theoretical contributions, and political implications of queer theory. It examines “queer” as both a method of analysis and a form of resistance. Through key texts, figures, and debates in this field, we will analyze queer and queerness in relation to power, sexuality, identity, culture, politics, race, and colonialism. The course will provide students with tools to apply queer theory to contemporary social and political questions, linking theory with everyday life.
