Staging the Theatrical Production
An optional course for a limited number of students who have special interest in directing, designing, writing and choreographing. The seminars will focus on conceptual and structural analysis of a theatrical work, research, and the establishment of production values. Students will be encouraged to play a larger role in the creating and production of theatrical works more in tune with their own aesthetics and to sample the range of skills necessary to do the job. There will be extensive in-class directing. As their final project, students will stage 15 minutes scenes for open presentation.
